Hello!
MY NAME IS ANNE
Often finding inspiration from fashion, I incorporate texture through brush stroke and knife work to help find and create the subject, add depth, enhance distances, and manipulate eye movement. While I embrace a variety of mediums, my primary medium is oil paint and I enjoy working with the figure in particular.
I've spent over a decade studying painting at Braitman Studio in Charlotte, NC. Though I no longer live in Charlotte, I enjoy taking their figure class or attending workshops when I am back visiting friends and family. I've studied art at the University of North Carolina and have taken fashion courses at Parsons School of Design and Meredith College. I've also attended workshops and classes from a number of artists, including: Jeremy Lipking, Andy Braitman, Curt Butler, Miriam Dirkin, Angela Nesbit, Nicholas Stewart, and Kelley Brugh.
